Our Mission

Greensquare aspires to make a positive impact; our current target is to double the percentage of recycled textiles from 7% to 14% by 2030. We aim to provide free textile recycling services to households and organisations in Singapore and promote awareness of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) through education, with a focus on engaging youths in schools.

THE LIFECYCLE OF TEXTILE @ Greensquare

We work with our partners to keep textiles in closed recycling loop to help:

  • conserve natural resources (E.g. it takes 6813 litres/1800 gallons of water to grow enough cotton to make just one pair of jeans)

  • reduce environmental pollution (as we reduce the waste going to the incineration plant and landfill)

  • facilitate economical pricing for clothes and foot wear (for use in developing countries)

Greensquare's collected recyclables are sold to second-hand textile importers in various developing countries. This supports our business model in providing free collection services and educational activities.
